Dear KoffeeMocha Readers,
I hope this message finds you with a good cup of coffee in hand!
Recently, I’ve stumbled upon this nifty app called Google NotebookLM, that provides an incredible way to review and dive into my Substack posts with a fresh perspective. I'm in the process of trying its Deep Dive podcast to my KoffeeMocha posts as Substack's audio embedding.
Yes, I'm experimenting for fun, why not?
Here's the deal: I'm taking a trip down memory lane, revisiting my past posts in their original order, and letting NotebookLM do a deep dive into my writing. It's like pulling out an old yearbook and discovering a few pages of wisdom (or embarrassing scribbles) I never knew existed. Things occur to you as you work through this process. Ideas, insights, and even connections that you might have missed the first time around.
And speaking of things that occur to you, another part of my retirement remix involves traveling and immersing myself in different environments. There’s something about stepping into a new place, touching the physical world around you, and soaking up a culture that's different from your current. It profoundly influences how I think about ‘doing,’ ‘being,’ or that intriguing space in between.
If you missed one of my earlier posts, here's your chance to catch up! Listen to the podcast first, and then dive back into the original post, which is linked, to see if I was on to something or just rambling with flair.
Who knows, you might even find a hidden gem or two!
I'm eager to see how this little experiment goes and would love to hear your thoughts, laughs, or groans along the way. After all, I wish KoffeeMocha is as much your journey as it is mine.
In addition, I am leaving NYC for a new round of the retirement remix. This time is in Shanghai. I will kick off a series of aforementioned episodes from there if there is no technical obstacle.
In short, I hope this little experiment brings some excitement or new energy to your day. Maybe you will find a new perspective or two along the way including the tool I highlighted.
Thank you for being the best part of this journey. Let's see where this adventure takes us next.
Warm (and slightly caffeinated) regards,
Kefei
