Supporting Each Other Through Uncertainty: A Call to Action for Skilled Professionals
Find new infrastructure engineering jobs in the San Francisco Bay Area
Dear Friends and Readers of Koffeemocha,
As I reflect on my post-retirement journey, one constant has been the value of staying connected with old friends and colleagues through what I call Koffeemocha moments. These moments are more than casual conversations through online chat or face-to-face meetings; they've become a way to continue to build meaningful relationships and provide support where I can.
I recently had the opportunity to reconnect with some of my former team members, and while it was wonderful to catch up, I was saddened to learn that several highly skilled infrastructure engineers located in the San Francisco Bay Area have been laid off due to corporate cost-cutting. Despite their extensive experience and marketable skills, they are looking for new opportunities in a challenging market.
I've always believed in the power of community and the importance of helping each other succeed.
Although I retired last year, I've remained actively involved, both through mentoring and sharing my insights with those in my network. Now, I'm reaching out to my extended network to help these talented individuals find their next step.
How You Can Help:
Connections matter: If you know of companies looking for experienced infrastructure engineers, or if you're in a position to hire, I'd appreciate an introduction via my LinkedIn. A personal introduction can make all the difference.
Sharing opportunities: Whether full-time roles, freelance work, or project-based positions, any leads you may have could be invaluable. Feel free to reach out if you have ideas.
Mentorship and guidance: For those who are also navigating job transitions or career changes, I'm here to share insights, provide feedback, and offer any support that might be helpful.
Why This Matters Now:
Although I'm no longer in the corporate world, my commitment to the people I've worked with remains strong. Throughout my career and beyond, I've seen firsthand the difference a supportive network can make. Whether it's through introductions or simply lending an ear, we all have the power to help others navigate uncertain times.
Together, we can turn these challenges into opportunities for growth and resilience.
I encourage everyone in my network to reach out, share leads, or simply offer advice. Let's keep the spirit of support and community alive.
Warm regards,
Kefei, at Koffeemocha
